Vietnam 74% Tien Giang
A beautifully intense, spicy and fruity craft chocolate bar made with fine cocoa from the Tien Giang region of Vietnam.
After the major fire in the Damson kitchens in July 2016, one of our favourite chocolate makers, Marou were kind enough to send us 100kg of Vietnamese cocoa beans to help get us back up and running. This extraordinary gesture of kindness is typical of the craft chocolate industry and it's fair to say that both the gift itself and the sentiment behind it are one of the reason's we are still here.
This bar is a tribute to one of my all time favourite chocolate bars, Marou's Tien Giang 70%. Tasting it, the connection to the Marou bar is clear. There are, of course, differences in texture and flavour notes, but we like to think that if you're a fan of Marou, you'll enjoy this bar.
